I recently just got hired into a perio practice where I have to give LA daily, before I worked at a general practice and hardly ever gave it and definitely wouldn’t give the IA. Often clinicians shy away from providing local anesthetics to their patient because they aren’t confident in their skills, aren’t getting patients profoundly numb, or haven’t given injections in a long time. This course is designed to empower you to hit your best shot with a review of maxillary and mandibular oral local anesthesia techniques, including a review patient health considerations and appropriate anesthetic dosage. Participants review the anatomy of the head and neck as it pertains to anesthesia, syringe/needle safety, a detailed review of injection techniques with photos and technique videos.

You obtain over 5 hours of continuing education and have access to the course material for an entire year from the date of purchase.

This means you can take the course as slow as you want, go back and review videos or other aspects anytime. It's right there at your fingertips. Even after you complete the course and get your course completion certificate, you can revisit the information for the entire year from the date of purchase.

I hadn't performed local anesthesia consistently for the last 20 years and I only felt comfortable with infiltrations. Taking this course gave me a great review of anatomy as well as techniques for block anesthesia and I learned about the IO and AMSA injections which were new to me. Do I get Continuing Education Credit?

YES! This course is approved by the American Academy of Dental Hygiene (AADH). Some states have limitations on how many online C.E. courses you can take as well as specific requirements on approved providers. This course satisfies the requirements for most states. Each course has communication with your instructor for Q and A and has an exam participants must complete to receive the completion certificate. The certificate includes your name, date completed and number of CEU's provided.
How long do I have access to the course material?

You have access 365 days from the date of purchase. This is information at your fingertips. However, research shows we humans need a timeline to stay accountable...so I'll be checking in with you during your first couple months to make sure you complete your course, this is my way of helping you achieve your goal.
